Three ways to belong
Full Membership
For practising biodynamic massage therapists. Full Members hold professional insurance, attend regular clinical supervision and complete at least 18 hours of CPD each year — and are listed on our public practitioner register.
Associate Membership
For anyone with an interest in biodynamic massage — including therapists who have trained but are not currently practising, and professionals in related fields who want to stay connected to the community.
Student Membership
Free for first-year students at recognised biodynamic training schools. Student members grow into the professional community from the start, moving to paid membership on qualification.

- A listing on the ABMT practitioner register once qualified and practising.
- Our peer-reviewed journal, published twice a year, and regular newsletters.
- Verification of your qualification for registration with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
CNHC registration: since 2021, CNHC registration requires a Level 4 massage qualification alongside your Biodynamic Massage Certificate. We are happy to advise on your individual pathway — just ask.
What we ask of members
Membership is a public promise. Full Members agree to:
- Practise within the ABMT Code of Ethics.
- Hold full malpractice and public liability insurance.
- Attend ongoing clinical supervision.
- Complete a minimum of 18 hours of continuing professional development each year.
Our governing documents — the Code of Ethics, CPD Policy, Supervision Policy, Constitution and Equality & Diversity Statement — are available to all members and on request.
