Therapeutic Aims
What biodynamic massage sets out to achieve, and who it can help.
Biodynamic massage is particularly suited to psycho-physiological and stress-related conditions — among them headaches, persistent pain, anxiety, insomnia, low mood and arthritis. It can also help people who simply feel unwell without a diagnosable illness, and those drawn to self-discovery through work with the body.
What the work aims to do
- Rebalance the nervous system — restoring the interplay of its sympathetic and parasympathetic branches.
- Bring about deep relaxation and renewed vitality.
- Help with the management of pain.
- Allow emotional pressure to release safely.
- Ease muscular tension and restore healthy muscle tone.
- Deepen awareness of the body and its signals.
- Support the body's elimination of waste products.
- Help breathing return to its natural, easy rhythm.
“What appears to move through all levels of our being, connecting us to others, to the world and the universe is energy.”Sue Frazer, biodynamic massage therapist
These aims reflect the holistic foundation of the work: the conviction that body and mind form one continuous, energetic whole. Read about how a session works in practice.
