Training

How to train as a biodynamic massage therapist.

Two pathways

Training routes recognised by the ABMT

Training accepted by the ABMT meets established standards at one of two levels, depending on how you intend to practise.

Biodynamic massage as a complementary therapy

A one-year academic programme, including modules in holistic anatomy and physiology, qualifying you to offer biodynamic massage as a complementary therapy in its own right.

Biodynamic massage within body psychotherapy

A six-year postgraduate training integrating biodynamic massage within psychotherapeutic practice, leading to registration with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

Where to train

Accredited training schools

The ABMT currently recognises training from two institutions. Please contact the schools directly for current course details, dates and fees.

Students at recognised schools receive free ABMT student membership in their first year — see membership for details.
